Officially Launched! WEPACK to Set Sail on April 2022 in Shenzhen!
A press conference was held at Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Centre recently to announce the dates for the inaugural World Expo of Packaging Industry (WEPACK). WEPACK will be held on 7 – 9 April 2022 at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Centre.
Reed’s 7-In-1 Sino Mega Expo will partner with World Packaging Organization (WPO) for WEPACK, aiming at promoting the global packaging industry through its motto, “Gather the whole industry, Change and Promote Sustainable Packaging”. Reed’s series of converting expos include SinoCorrugated South, SinoFoldingCarton, China Packaging Container Expo, SinoFlexPack South, SinoPaper South, Intralogistics and Process Management Expo and Digital Printing Equipment and Technology Expo.
The Reed’s Sino converting expo has been held yearly, alternating between Shanghai and Guangdong. Beginning 2022, the Shanghai edition will be relocated to Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Centre.

At the press conference, Reed signed a strategic partnership contract with WPO, represented by Josephine Lee, Chief Operating Officer of Reed Exhibitions Greater China and Wang Yuezhong, Executive Vice President and Secretary-General of China Packaging Federation (CPF). Pienaar joined the signing ceremony remotely.
Solid supports from global associations, media and leading players
The press conference brought together more than 30 printing and packaging industry associations, over media partners and 70 exhibitors and visitors representatives.
Hu Zhengyang, Deputy Secretary-General of China Packaging Federation (CPF), on behalf of the domestic printing and packaging industry associations, delivered a speech to show his confidence in WEPACK.
International associations represented by Chusak Deetrakunwattanapoen, Chairman of Thailand Corrugated Packaging Association (TCPA), Peter van Ostaijen, Secretary-General of Belgian Corrugated Board Association (CBA), and Mariano Saludjian, Secretary-General of Cámara Argentina de Fabricantes de Cartón Corrugado (CAFCCO) all sent in supporting videos, expressing their confidence in WEPACK and wishing to visit WEPACK with members in 2022.
Leading suppliers in the packaging industry represented by Xie Yishu, Vice President of Dongfang Precision Group, Xie Qiang, Managing Director of Shanghai Eterna Precision Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd., He Guosheng, Chairman of Guangzhou Keshenglong Carton Packaging Machinery Co., Ltd. and Japan Shinko Co., Ltd., and Liu Lizhen, Assistant to the Chairman of Xiamen Hexing Packaging & Printing Co., Ltd. delivered speeches that looked forward to a closer cooperation in the future.
In the media Q&A session, Alex Wang further elaborated on WEPACK vision, and future direction of strategic cooperation with WPO. “In the future, WEPACK will not only be a one-way trade platform for Chinese suppliers to connect with international buyers, but also a super mega-event for global industry insiders to engage.”
In the future, WEPACK will work hand-in-hand with industry players, associations and media to promote the sustainable development and jointly open up a new era of packaging!
