Kemira Increases Prices for AKD Wax and Aluminum-based Coagulants in APAC Region
Kemira, a global chemicals company serving customers in the water-intensive industries, announces price increases for AKD wax and aluminum-based water treatment coagulants (PAC) for customers in the pulp and paper industry in the Asia-Pacific region.
The adjustment will be effective from November 1, 2021 onwards or as contracts allow and as follows:
- AKD wax 10–25% (FennoWax)
- PAC coagulants >40% (Kemira PAX-PS, Kemira PAX-18, FennoFloc 8210)
These price increases are unavoidable due to a sharp increase in the cost of key raw materials and energy, which is caused mainly by the tightening regulatory demands and macro-control policies on energy in the region. Raw material availability continues to be constrained and freight costs have dramatically increased.
Kemira remains committed to mitigating the impact of these challenging market conditions while providing the highest quality products and services and ensuring smooth deliveries to its customers.
