Kemira Appoints Antti Salminen President and CEO
Antti Salminen has been appointed President and CEO of Kemira as of February 12, 2024. Petri Castrén will continue as the Interim President and CEO until February 12, 2024, after which he will continue as the CFO of Kemira.
Antti Salminen has had several prior leadership positions in Kemira, latest as President, Pulp & Paper segment and before that President, Industry & Water segment. He has been a member of Kemira’s Management Board since 2011. He has a PhD in engineering.
“Antti Salminen has a solid track record in leading transformation and growth in his previous positions. He knows Kemira, the chemical sector, and understands customers’, employees’ and other stakeholders’ expectations. He has an excellent basis to continue the value creation for Kemira’s shareholders. I wish Antti all the best in his new role,” said Matti Kähkönen, the Chair of the Board of Kemira.
