Valmet to Deliver First IQ Moisturiser for Kraft Machine to Sri Andal

Valmet is to deliver a Valmet IQ Moisturiser to Sri Andal Paper Mills Private Limited, located in Sathyamangalam, India. This order is part of Sri Andal Paper Mills’ quality improvement initiatives for their kraft paper production.

The order is included in Valmet’s orders received in the fourth quarter 2024. The delivery is scheduled for the first quarter 2025. The value of the order will not be disclosed.

It will enable Sri Andal Paper Mills to achieve a more consistent moisture profile, improving process reliability and production performance,” said Ramesh Chandra Chirravuri, Sales Manager, Asia-Pacific, Automation Systems, Valmet.

Delivery’s technical information
Valmet IQ Moisturiser is a moisturising system with applications for moisture cross-direction profiling, curl control and smooth moisture level increase. It features an air-atomised spray nozzle, a linear water control valve and a mist removal system. The system is designed to optimise the CD moisture profile, ensuring higher reel build quality and consistent end-product performance.

The solution is part of the Valmet IQ Quality Management Solutions for monitoring and optimising process performance and end-product quality.
