The 31st South China International Print and Label Exhibition Opens Grandly, Energising the Global Printing and Packaging Industry

The 31st South China International Exhibition on Printing Industry and The China International Exhibition on Label Printing Technology 2025 (Printing South China & Sino-Label) grandly opened on 4 March 2025 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou. Co-organised by China Foreign Trade Centre Group Co., Ltd. and Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd., this year’s exhibition, along with the concurrent China International Exhibition on Packaging Machinery and China (Guangzhou) International Exhibition on Packaging Products, has attracted over 2,100 exhibitors across 150,000 square metres of exhibition space. The opening day witnessed an unprecedented turnout of professional visitors.

Grand Opening: Industry Elites Gather to Chart Future Development
The opening press conference, “A New Chapter Begins: Global Synergy for a Brighter Future,” was held on the first day. Nearly 100 distinguished guests attended, including exhibitor representatives, industry associations from across China and regions including Southeast Asia, Middle East and Europe, multinational procurement delegations and mainstream media representatives. 

Alan Lee, Vice General Manager of China Foreign Trade Guangzhou Exhibition Co., Ltd., highlighted that this year’s exhibition has reached new heights in scale, attendance, services and industry exchange. Rita Chu, Vice Chairman of the Adsale Group, unveiled key exhibition highlights, including the Smart Factory 4.0 demonstration zone showcasing digitally-driven, seamlessly integrated production processes.

Distinguished speakers, including Maxen Liu, General Manager of Sales from Masterwork Group Co., Ltd., Ryan Zhou, General Manager from Zhejiang Weigang Technology Co., Ltd., Iva Werbynská, Managing Director from SYBA Packaging Institute (Czech Republic) and Christian Tungohan, Provincial Director from Department of Trade & Industry Laguna (the Philippines), engaged in in-depth discussions about global industry challenges and opportunities.

A mini smart factory demonstrating seamless digital production lines, featuring seven companies including Hybrid software, Xiaolingyang, Masterwork, DMS, Runtianzhi, BST and CIMC Tianda. This label digitalisation production solution achieves full visualisation and control from order receipt to delivery, allowing visitors to experience the efficiency and charm of digital production firsthand.

Digital giants like Konica Minolta, Kyocera, Runtianzhi, Yingkeji, Jingutian, General Inkjet, Brotech and Pulisi showcased cutting-edge digital printing solutions, presenting a feast of digital transformation for on-site visitors. 

  1. Carton Digital Factory: From Paper to Box in One Step

The exhibition gathered elite entreprises specialising in carton production lines, showcasing integrated digital production solutions that transform paper into boxes in one step. Jingang’s fully automated high-speed cover assembly line, Horda’s fully automated fine binding cover assembly line, Xinwei’s automatic wine box production line, Hongming’s digital luxury box production line and Zhongke’s premium box making machine all impressed visitors, who queued to consult and experience the efficient, high-quality production process. 

  1. Modular Combination Printing Solutions: Unlocking New Printing Methods

The Printing South China & Sino-Label featured numerous modular combination printing devices from companies like Weigong, Source MTR, Xian Jmetech, JDPress, Yutian and Arojet. These devices allow for flexible combinations of various printing methods, meeting the high-speed printing needs for different materials. This breaks the traditional limitations of large-scale production, providing efficient solutions for personalised and short-term orders.

  1. Smart Packaging and Printing: Transforming Enterprises for Increased Efficiency and Cost Savings

The “Smart and Automatic Packaging Printing” zone at the Printing South China & Sine-Label provides a breakthrough for printing and packaging enterprises to upgrade and transform. Top equipment suppliers like Masterwork, Jiebao, Guowang, Zhongke, Shengtu, Horda, Haoxin, Xinwei, Dragon, YOCO, Yongshun, Huayue, Guangya, Wenhong, Jiguo, Longhua, Century and Saili showcased advanced automation technologies and new solutions to help buyers achieve digital and smart control of equipment, reducing costs and increasing efficiency. 

  1. Anti-counterfeiting and RFID Technology: Driving Innovation in Smart Packaging

The anti-counterfeiting zone in Hall 1.2, Area A, was crowded with visitors. Brands like Deepvue, Aisun, Zhaixin, Hengxin Hongtong, Oracle, Namda and South CHina University of Technology gathered to showcase integrated anti-counterfeiting materials, high-end equipment, smart packaging and comprehensive solutions, attracting many buyers to inquire and purchase on-site. 

Smart Chain Fashion: RFID-driven Innovation in the Apparel Industry:

The exhibition simulated RFID applications in the apparel industry, including inventory management, data collection in fitting rooms, self-service checkout and anti-theft alarms. This allowed visitors to experience the innovative transformation of smart packaging in the apparel retail sector. 

  1. Automated Label Post-processing: Boosting Efficiency and Competitiveness

In the label printing sector, post-processing is crucial for enhancing product value and competitiveness. The exhibition brought together many post-processing automation “golden partners,” such as Luster Lighttech, Daheng, Reborn, Rhyguan, AKO, Newsun, Hengchengxiang and Saga Computer, offering comprehensive solutions for post-processing, inspection, correction, cold and hot stamping, die-cutting and waste sorting. These solutions help printing enterprises flexibly meet diverse customer demands and boost market competitiveness.

Sustainability

  1. Eco-friendly Packaging Materials: A One-stop Shop for Annual Procurement

The exhibition focused on sustainable development, deeply exploring the forefront of packaging material trends. In the “Innovative Packaging Materials” and “Green Label Materials” zones, leading brands in the eco-friendly packaging sector were gathers to comprehensively showcase various eco-friendly and functional packaging materials, allowing visitors to purchase all their annual needs in one stop. The “Consumable Purchase” themed activity featured products like Kurz’s degradable hot stamping foil, Zhongshan Fuzhou’s water-based ink and Zhongyi’s high-barrier paper-based composite materials, sparking a procurement frenzy.

  1. Sustainable Packaging: Leading the Industry Forward

Paper Packaging Container Zone: Companies like Zenbo, Fangbang, Newpack, Ruidi, Ounuo, Dayuan, Ruizhi, Rokin, Jukai, Lilin, Daqiao, Discover, Xinlei and Newsmart jointly showcased advanced production technologies and equipment for eco-friendly paper packaging products, including paper boxes, bags, cups and utensils, as well as paper-plastic and paper-based composite materials, which were highly favoured by domestic and international buyers. 

Flexible Packaging Zone: This zone gathered cutting-edge equipment, consumables and one-stop supporting services, with companies like Sinstar, Bride Meike, Feisheng, Jujian and Junfeng presenting innovations and developments in the flexible packaging industry.

Corrugated Packaging Zone: Maintaining its popularity, this zone assembled top global corrugated paper box equipment and material suppliers, with companies like Century, Wenhong, Hengfeng and Huazhu showcasing the latest production technologies and equipment. 

Green and Eco-friendly Flexographic Printing Zone: Industry elites like Omet, Weigang, Source MTR, Zhongte, Hyde, Hongsheng, Bengraphic and Jmetech collaborated to explore and promote advanced eco-friendly flexographic printing solutions, contributing to enterprises’ green development. 

Over 350 New Exhibitors Debut Innovative Products
The 2025 edition of the exhibition has been upgraded with over 350 new exhibitors, bringing fresh energy to the event. New product launches have captivated visitors, showcasing innovative technologies and materials. 

Global Reach: Expanding Business Opportunities Worldwide
In the context of increasing globalisation, the exhibition has enhanced its international influence by organising overseas procurement matchmaking events and strategy forums. The first day saw a significant increase in overseas buyers from countries and regions like Poland, the Czech Republic, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Brazil, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea, Iran, Mongolia and Hong Kong with over 300 exhibitors reaching preliminary cooperation agreements. 

Unlocking Future Development with High-end Activities
Nearly 20 high-end activities focused on AI integration, smart printing, creative design, anti-counterfeiting and green packaging materials. These events brought together industry elite and experts, sparking new ideas and inspiration among attendees. 

The forum titled “Eurasian Regulations and Trends Packaging” on 5 March invited industry experts and elites from South Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines and Russia to conduct an in-depth analysis of strategies in response to the EU’s new packaging regulations and reveal new trends in packaging development in the Euarsian market. This helped enterprises accurately go global and seize the initiative in the global market. 

Themed Tours for an Efficient Exhibition Experience
To address the challenge of helping visitors find exhibits, the Printing South China & Sino-Label 2025 has designed 12 themed tour routes based on buyer needs, such as “Digital Factory Full Line”, “Colour Box Production Line”, “Eco-friendly Paper Product Packaging Line”, “Innovative Materials Line”, “Anti-counterfeiting Traceability Line” and “Digital Label Journey”. Industry KOLs led cloud tours helped visitors efficiently connect with target exhibitors.
