Voith Modernises PM3 at Smurfit Westrock Navarra to Improve MG Paper Quality

  • Scope of supply includes rebuild of the forming, press and dryer sections, approach flow system and installation of MasterJet 4Tec headbox with ModuleJet
  • Start-up of the rebuilt PM3 is planned for the first quarter of 2026

Voith has received the order to modernise the PM3 paper machine at Smurfit Westrock Navarra, S.A., in Sangüesa, Spain.

Voith will replace several components as part of the rebuild. These include the new MasterJet 4Tec headbox with ModuleJet dilution control, as well as the wire, press and dryer sections.

With this rebuild, Voith demonstrates its position as one of the leading full-line suppliers of technology solutions in the paper industry and strengthens its long-standing partnership with Smurfit Westrock Navarra.
